Introducing Lakshmi

This is my Mum Lakshmi and this is a blog to enable her story to be told to people who are interested. This is an ongoing in real time story happening now. Lakshmi is living in the jungle (selva) outside of Iquitos, Peru. She is working on a curation for breast cancer. She is healing and living with a female shaman (Curandera) and is drinking, bathing and wearing the plant medicines of the Amazon.

That's what this blog is about.

Lakshmi's story goes alot deeper as a relationship with these sacred medicines. In 2005 Lakshmi and a small party traveled Venezuela to meet with a male shaman (curandero). This was to seek council with the pants after she received guidance that the medicine could help her with her debilitating disease of MS (Multiple Sclarocis) That story ended with a full curation.

No kidding!


This journey and blog is about her breast and the cancer that has formed and how it has formed. Her understanding leads her to the Peruvian desert of Chiclayo to under go a series of ceremonies drinking the sacred cactus plant, San Pedro (Huachuma), here the story unfolds as a tale of Ancestral sickness unfolds and of a Western families willingness to break the old stories of the past.
